Keep it loose: Too much detail too early is a creative trap. Save those decisions for your creative production partners as the project evolves.

What will you need?

key frame: a single frame to establish location, key player(s) and action or reaction.

It takes time: everything we make is hand-made. Give yourself some hate time.

storyboard: usually includes an establishing or master shot, action sequence(s) and reaction(s) with editorial cut away shots as needed to advance the narrative.

Storyboards & sketches only please:  not your best choice if you need the skills of an illustrator.

shooting board: for complex or action scenes. Useful for pre-production planning for equipment, crew, schedule and production budget.
